Squad Analysis: All the Way Squad Pack in English

Captain Cassian Andor, the determined intelligence officer of the Rebellion, leads the “All the Way Squad” in Star Wars: Shatterpoint. Together with the reprogrammed Imperial security droid K-2SO and the Rebel Pathfinders, he forms a versatile and thematic team known for covert tactics, sabotage, and precision strikes.

Captain Cassian Andor

Role: Flexible all-rounder with attrition tendencies.

Cassian Andor brings a unique blend of flexibility, strong aggression, and clever tricks to the game. His strengths especially shine when paired with other Rebels and Spies.

Strengths

Excellent flexibility in list building: With 9 Squad Points, many units can easily be integrated into Andor’s team.

Strong tag synergy: Andor is especially effective when paired with other units that have the Rebel or Spy tag.

Very strong Revenge ability: “Make ten men feel like a hundred” – When any allied unit becomes Wounded (regardless of range or tags), another allied character may immediately make a Long move. Spies can reposition instead. Extremely powerful!

Good reactive ability: “This town is ready to blow” – When any (!) player wins a Struggle card, you may roll 3 attack dice. For each Hit or Expertise, enemy units contesting active objectives take 1 damage.

Strong Shatterpoint effect: When using “Make ten men…” via Shatterpoint, a Rebel unit gains Sharpshooter 2 and Impact 2. Especially effective for Charming Leia (Sharpshooter 2 + 2 = 4!) or Boushh (who needs help to threaten Primaries anyways).

Risky but strong ranged attack – “We’ve all done terrible things”: Cassian gains +3 dice on his ranged attack if the target is engaged with a friendly unit. That unit takes 2 damage. Remember: this can also trigger Cassian’s Revenge ability. So you might want to wound an allied Character intentionally.

Solid stats: 10 stamina, good expertise trees, and a high number of dice in both attack and defense.

Weaknesses

Only 2 Force points and no way to regenerate Force. Force management is essential!

Rating: A

K-2SO – Outspoken Enforcer

Role: Selfless bodyguard droid, revenger & board control supporter. K-2SO is the perfect complement to Andor: he protects, disrupts, and sacrifices himself if needed.

Strengths

Solid bodyguard ability: “Why does she get a blaster and I don't?” – K-2SO may sprint toward a friendly Rebel unit and either remove a condition or give them a Hunker token.

Excellent board control via “Lockdown”: As long as K-2SO is not wounded, an objective he contests cannot be flipped by an enemy Control token.

Great reactive retaliation through “Goodbye”: When K-2SO is wounded, the attacker gains Pin and Strain, and a friendly Spy may sprint.

Powerful sacrifice mechanic: If K-2 has a Wounded or Injured token, he can sacrifice himself: you may lose up to 2 Momentum tokens to move the Struggle token up to 2 spaces. Situational, but potentially game-changing!

Excellent Revenge ability: “Congratulations, you are being rescued” – When a friendly Rebel within range 4 is wounded by an attack, K-2SO may sprint toward the attacker and make a 5-dice attack.

Boshuda Tip: Cassian’s “Make ten men…” can reposition K-2SO beforehand, massively increasing his trigger range!

Solid stats: 9 stamina, 7 dice in melee and ranged, and 2 Shoves in his first two combat tree slots = excellent board control.

Weaknesses

Costs 5 Squad Points, making list building trickier. Also heavily reliant on synergy with Rebels and Spies.

Rating: A–

Rebel Pathfinders

Role: Mobile Primary unit killers with a niche focus. Often compared to Commandos, Pathfinders are not all-rounders but rather specialized assassins with high mobility.

Strengths

“Scale” grants good vertical mobility.

Immune to Pin.

Efficient movement: If they have a Hunker token, they may perform a Long move instead of a Short one.

Excellent versus Primaries thanks to “Cloak and Dagger”: Their first attack in an activation gains +3 dice. Against a Primary target, Crits deal additional damage.

Tip: Combined with Andor’s Shatterpoint (Sharpshooter 2 + Impact 2), their opening attack becomes brutal: 12 dice can shred nearly anything.

Weaknesses

Force-intensive: In a squad with low Force recovery, hard to use optimally.

Highly specialized: Not flexible outside their niche as Primary assassins.

Rating: C+

Recommended Squad Combinations

1. General Solo, Chewbacca, Rebel Commando

This combination has:

Double Revenge triggers (Han + Andor)

Double Bodyguard (K-2 + Chewie)

Exciting Momentum combos (e.g., K-2’s Goodbye)

Boshuda Tip: Han’s Optimism can help mitigate K-2’s sacrifice cost.

Alternative: Swap Chewie for Lobot, and Commandos for Lando/R2 for better control (double Lockdown) and more Focus access (through Lobot), enhancing Andor’s attrition capabilities.

2. Kanan, Ezra, Chopper (Spectre Squad)

This combination..

Focuses on Momentum play and Revenge synergy.

Optional: Replace Pathfinders with Zeb for more raw power.

Kanan = jack-of-all-trades, Ezra = board control & tiebreaker

Alternative: Use Sabine instead of Ezra = amazing combo with Andor’s Sharpshooter 4

3. Leia, Luke, Han, Chewie

Another Double Revenge option focusing on the Spy tag synergy this time.

Challenging Matchups for Andor’s Squad

Tanky control lists (e.g., Obi-Wan + Bad Batch): They rarely trigger Revenge effects and hold objectives securely.

Fast, mobile lists (e.g., Thrawn with Stormtroopers, Moff Gideon, ISF): They quickly take objectives before Andor’s squad can react. Once entrenched, they’re hard to dislodge.

Missions

Favorable: Most missions work well with Andor’s squad.

Difficult: “Never tell me the odds” requires lots of Force, which is a major weakness for this squad.

Conclusion

Captain Cassian Andor’s squad is a strong addition to the Rebel Alliance and beyond. It combines flexible list building, aggressive buffs (via Shatterpoint), powerful Revenge triggers, and situationally game-winning Momentum manipulation. Its only real drawback is the limited Force pool and lack of Force regeneration. Overall, it’s a versatile and competitive squad with high potential. It's best suited to experienced players. New players may struggle due to its steep learning curve.

May the Force be with you! Utinni.
